DFP COLLECTIONS 2011
The year 2011 is coming to an end & is summed up with a video-session incorporating pieces from the two eco-couture & recycles collections of 2011.
Rainbow Warriors is inspired by brave-hearted struggle, passion & pain. Artists like Frida Kahlo, Gustav Klimt, Nick Cave & the song by CocoRosie have all been important to the process.
The collection was a collaboration with HUMANA Second Hand Malmö. Most garments were hand-knitted in organic and/or recycled yarn & attached with colorful vintage buttons, some pieces are made out of recycled poleyster.

If the Rainbow Warriors collection was an attempt to incorporate a brightly colored Utopia, Creative Destruction is somewhat the opposite. Springing out of the idea that something has to fall in order for the future to evolve the collection is nearly post-apocalyptic.
The inspiration for the garments comes from mongolian shamans, abandoned industries, karacenas and the stuff gathered at the scrapyard.
Creative Destruction consists primarily of handprinted organic garments & knitwear, accessorized with pieces made out of recycled bicycle tires, seat-belts and feathers from the winged citizens of Malmö.
Creative Destruction was first shown in a performance-like show at Malmöfestivalen 2011, in a collaboration with sound-art trio Triumph-Adler who performed with a sound-piece exclusively composed for that evening.
